INRIA, the French National Institute for Research in Computer Science and Control has a leading international scientific positioning and visibility in computer science and applied mathematics. Its global research strategy is based on the foundational scientific challenges related to Modelling, Programming, Communicating and Interacting. It's ambition is also to rise the current challenges in the development of science and technology with a strong focus on computational engineering, computational sciences and computational medicine. INRIA is strongly committed to innovation and technology transfer through numerous partnerships, technology licensing and business creation. Biomedical and Life Sciences research is one of INRIA's top priorities. Nearly 500 scientists work on those topics in close collaboration with an international network of bio and medical partners.
INRIA developed the Monolix software for PKPD modelling. INRIA has collaborated with The Mathworks for implementing the SAEM algorithm in the statistics toolbox (MATLAB 2010a). INRIA has a strong experience in mathematical biology and multiscale modelling of tumor growth and treatment.
