The interoperability framework will produce a modular, functional implementation of the interoperability software platform. This platform will house a convertor toolbox that will permit conversion among the different languages i.e. the languages as originally used by the models as deposited in the model repository, the Model Description Language (MDL) and Model Mark-up Language (MML). The Application Programming Interface (API) will permit manipulation of the MML/MDL files and facilitates interaction with the model repository, existing software tools and newly developed tools. In addition, a workflow environment will be set up to permit end-to-end modelling and reporting. The environment will be tested via a demonstration project.
