Model Informed Drug Development Oncology

The first public DDMoRe course launches a series of comprehensive face-to-face courses introducing the principles of model-informed drug development, covering a range of therapeutic areas, via the newly-developed DDMoRe interoperability framework platform. 

The Department of Clinical Pharmacy & Biochemistry, Institute of Pharmacy, Freie Universitaet Berlin
is happy to invite you to the following face-to-face course:

Model-informed Drug Development in Oncology (Beginners)

Dates: 16-20 March 2015

Venue: Freie Universitaet Berlin, Institute of Pharmacy, Germany

Intended for: PhD students and Postdoctoral fellows

Topics: Model-informed anti-cancer drug development with an introduction to the DDMoRe framework (new modelling & simulation language, model repository, interoperability platform).

Program: Lectures, hands-on sessions, student group work, workshop, and student presentations (see agenda below).

Course directors: Charlotte Kloft, Zinnia Parra-Guillen (both Freie Universitaet Berlin, Germany), and Paolo Magni (Università di Pavia, Italy)


  • Are you a PhD student or a Postdoctoral fellow doing research in the quantitative life sciences field?
  • Are you willing to actively participate in the course and give constructive feedback to further improve the DDMoRe developments?
  • Are you able to bring along a laptop that fulfils the minimum IT environment requirements specified here?

If your answer is 3 times “yes”, then download the application form found at the bottom of this page; further information on ‘prerequisites for application’ can be found on the application form.

Fee: Free of charge (transport, accommodation and food not included) 

Maximum number of participants: 20.  If too many applications are received, the Admission Board will select based on the information supplied with the application.
